IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING
PAYMENT OF FEES FOR 1) PASSPORTS
2) PIO CARDS AND 3) OTHER
CONSULAR SERVICES WITH EFFECT
FROM
OCTOBER 1, 2009
Embassy of
India,
Berne
is going to close the postal
account No.30-4418-9 with effect
from
October 1, 2009.
All applicants seeking
for passport services, issue of
PIO Cards, legalisations and all
other consular services, are
required to deposit the
requisite fee only into
Embassy’s account with UBS AG,
Berne
number 235-939899-01P. It may
please be noted that deposit at
the cash desk of the Post Office
involves agency charges and
hence the same will not be
accepted by the Embassy. While
making payment to Embassy’s bank
account, the payment receipt
should categorically indicate
the name of the applicant and
the service requested for as per
following specifications:
1.
Passport
2.
PIO Cards
3.
Other Consular Services
(legalisation, Registration of
Birth/Death, and Power of
Attorney).
Please note that any applicant
not fulfilling this mandatory
requirement will be denied the
requisite service.
